The following is a statement from Bob Schoneberger, a representative of Minnesotans for Line 3, about Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton’s response to Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Ann O’Reilly’s recommendation that the Enbridge Line 3 Replacement Project should be built along the existing pipeline’s route.

“We agree with Governor Dayton’s position that he can’t ‘see any viable way that (Line 3) could be attempted or should be attempted going through the two tribal lands.’ He is right and his concern is one of the reasons Enbridge’ proposed route should be approved.

While the ALJ was correct in recognizing the need to replace Line 3 the recommendation it be built on the existing pipeline route was misguided. Minnesotans for Line 3 call on Public Utilities Commission to approve the Line 3 replacement along the purposed route.”
