We have some very sad news to share. Bob Schoneberger, the co-founder and leader of Minnesotans for Line 3, passed away unexpectedly this past weekend as the result of a heart attack.
In addition to being a friend, father, brother, husband and an amazing leader to many, Bob was also a tireless and passionate advocate for Minnesota, our communities, and our economy. He cared deeply about the people he worked with and was an important mentor, advisor, and supporter for countless others.
Bob understood how important energy is to what we do every day. From operating and building pipelines to founding and growing United Piping Inc., he challenged us all to always do our best and to meet the highest standards possible. He was driven by his commitment to provide safe, reliable energy transportation and connect people in our community with high quality jobs and the opportunity for a better future.
He will be greatly missed and will continue to inspire us to not only make sure projects like Line 3 move forward, but that we continue to work together to do what is best for everyone and our communities.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as we celebrate and recognize someone who truly made an important impact on so many lives.
