RESPECTING TRIBAL LANDS AND COMMUNITIES

Enbridge’s preferred route honors the wishes of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.  The ALJ-recommended route does not.

The preferred route was created by using significant input from stakeholders across Minnesota. It acknowledges the legitimate concerns of Tribal Nations by finding a better path.  The ALJ-recommended route was created “…without even holding a single ALJ hearing on the Leech Lake Reservation and gives a recommendation on a route that has not had the same level of environmental review.”

“This is a clear attack on sovereignty and Tribal communities.”
